Dr. Brad Morris

(Ed.D., LPC)

About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas and have over a decade of experience working with a variety of issues and ages. I have my Master's degree in Counseling and Doctor of Education Degree in Counseling Psychology. I am not able to prescribe medications and I am not a licensed psychologist, so can't provide diagnostic evaluations.

I specialize in working with anxiety related disorders such as trauma related to abuse, OCD, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I began my career working with victims of sexual and physical abuse, including victims of domestic violence. I have extensive experience working with families and helping parents/guardians with almost every issue they face. My main approaches to the counseling relationship are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I believe in assisting in the goal-setting process and helping clients meet their goals to the best of their abilities. Goals help keep therapy on track to make the client's life livable, but I work as hard and as fast as the client is able to.

I have always been considered the kind-hearted and open-minded therapist, always listening and helping the client no matter their walk of life or stage of life. I look forward to hearing your concerns and goals. Seeking help through therapy is a difficult first step and I hope I can help you continue making steps towards a more fulfilled life.

Written by M.I. on Dec 28, 2018 after counseling with Brad for 2 months on issues concerning relationship issues, and family conflicts

Dr. Morris is a very personable therapist and meeting with him is a lot like talking to a friend who happens to know a lot about relationships, psychology, etc.

He did a good job of balancing each of our needs in the couples sessions and making sure we both felt heard. Overall, Dr. Morris helped us work through a rough patch in our relationship and gave us some strategies for dealing with recurring conflicts.
