About me

Therapy should be like the fun middle school trips you we used to get excited about and less like your least favorite vegetables, which you have to eat because their good for you. I obtained my Masters Degree from the Smith College School For Social Work and I am licensed in the District of Columbia as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I have been working in the mental health field for over 12 years and enjoy it a great deal. I have experience working with clients that have experienced Anxiety, PTSD, Depression, Trauma, Grief and Loss and with clients that have just felt lost. My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, solution focused and client centered. This means I am trained in several different kinds of therapy, which I use interchangeably to address the specific issues/concerns of each client.

As a therapist I consider myself a guide that helps others navigate life’s up and downs such as, love, loss, illness, work stress, relationship conflicts and life transitions. My hope is that our time together will help you get to your destination safely and with peace of mind. We will begin by establishing clear and attainable treatment goals which will we revisit every few weeks to make sure we stay on the right path. We will discuss effective and maladaptive coping skills. We will celebrate the small steps forward and learn how to keep moving forward when the journey feels long and the body is weary.

My specialty areas include:
• Relationship concerns
• Life Transitions (Adjustments)
• Anxiety Disorder/Depression
• Grief and Loss
•Career-Life Balance

My theoretical approach is:
• Psychodynamic
• Solution Focused Therapy

Of Note:
Experienced In Providing Therapy In English and Spanish. I cannot see

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Brady Montas. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

As an update to my last review, I’ve been doing bi-weekly sessions with Brady for about two months now, and I have nothing but great things to say. He consistently focuses our sessions and his efforts on my goals, progresses work between sessions, makes sure he understands what I’m communicating, expresses positive feedback, respects and holds space for my feelings, is honest and forthcoming about his own limitations, practices with the utmost professionalism, and is just really easy to talk to. I’ve had a few eye-opening moments speaking with him and I really think I’ve come out better off these last few weeks.
