About me

Creating a strong therapeutic alliance is key to making progress with life’s most challenging moments. In order for us to do this and move forward together as a team, it is important for you to feel that you have a picture of what you can expect from me. So, let me introduce myself and share a bit about my approach!

I’m a master’s clinical social worker licensed in Michigan and I received my degree from Michigan State University in 2017. En route to finding social work, I also obtained a master's degree in Family Studies from Michigan State in 2011. I have worked in the health and human services field for 14 years. I have been a licensed social worker for over 4 years and have primarily practiced with caregivers and those with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease in a medical/non-profit setting. However, I also have therapy experience working with people of all ages who have a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship/family problems, and LGBTQ+ related issues.

As I mentioned above, my approach centers around creating a team with one another. It is important to me that you realize that you are the expert in your own life and my role is to help lend an ear, a perspective, and tools to help sort things out. I am here to support you every step of this journey and help you to navigate this world with a bit more clarity and direction.

Outside of my professional life I enjoy working out (lifting heavy and participating in a cardio hip hop class!), playing soccer on a summer league, listening to music, travelling when the budget allows, kayaking, and spending time with my wife and fur family.

The majority of my availability falls in the evenings and on weekends, however, I will try to check messages at least once during each business day. I look forward to meeting you!
