About me

I am a License Marriage Family Therapist with over 7-years of counseling experience and over 15 years in behavioral and mental health who received her masters from University of Phoenix. My experience runs from providing mental health services in outpatient clinics to children/teens under voluntary and court supervision of the Department of Children and Family Services, Probation and severely emotional disturbed children . In addition, providing mental health services to adults, couples and families. I work well with adults, couples, teenagers and families who might be experiencing low self-esteem, depression, trauma, stress, grief and loss, stages of life, anxiety, relationship issues, behavioral problems, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence and cognitive thinking errors. I can assist you with making and setting realistic goals. I will walk with you through your process and assist you with achieving your emotional goals.

I believe the strength that is within you can tackle any challenge that life can bring. I would like the opportunity to help bring about the best within you. Each person who comes to therapy comes with their own unique perspective, challenges and experiences. We were not made to navigate life’s challenges and crisis alone. Allow me to guide your hand as you rewrite your story.

I am a wife and mother of five and understand the challenges that come with marriage, raising children, and balancing career and family life. As we journey through your treatment I will integrate: Person-Centered, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focus Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, Strategic/Structural Family Therapies and other evidenced-based practice treatments as it pertains to your unique situation. In addition, integrating Trauma- Focused Techniques as you become more comfortable sharing more of your story.

Also, If it interests you I offer combining your biblical faith with the principles of psychology to improve your mental health and relationships. Please contact me if you are overwhelmed, struggling to keep hope, seeking a safe compassionate, and non-judgmental atmosphere in which to find personal or relational healing. Remember it takes courage towards finding your way back to wholeness and know this: The most trans-formative thing you could ever do is remember who you are.
