About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho and provide Christian Catholic Counseling. It is humbling and gratifying for me to have worked with clients facing challenges of depression, stress and anxiety, trauma, difficult emotions, relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, and challenges across the lifespan. Each client has had a story to tell and together we found strengths and meaning in their story, facing the challenges and changing their lives. Taking steps to face your challenges takes courage; and, I am here to support you with that.

My training began with attending Northwest Nazarene University (Idaho) from 2010-2013 and graduating with a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling. I returned in 2018-2019 and completed a School Counseling Emphasis. Throughout that time, I have worked with counseling agencies and schools in Idaho, counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, mostly with secular counseling.

My approach to counseling is reality based, knowledge driven and emphasizes building a trusting relationship. When our mental health is suffering, a part of us is broken from reality. Understanding ourself and the world around us, clearly and profoundly, then putting that knowledge into practice, brings it all back together. This heals our mental health.

I use a variety of techniques from all disciplines, but mainly work from a Logic Based, Person Centered, and Philosophical Counseling approach. The counseling that I provide is informed by Christian Catholic principles.

On a personal note, I am a family man. My family and I like to explore, garden, build legos and real things, paint, read, and philosophize. On the off chance that I am not with them, I grab a book or write stories in the hopes of becoming the next Tolkien, or just contemplate what's around me.
