Brianna Longwell

About Me

My name is Brianna Longwell, I am a licensed mental health therapist, behavior analyst, and certified rehabilitation counselor based in the state of Washington with four years of experience specializing in teens and adults with co-existing disabilities and mental health concerns. In addition to providing mental health therapy, I work as a vocational counselor assisting adults (ages 15+) obtain, maintain, or regain employment; and as a behavior analyst working with children (6-18) to learn socially significant skills that better their quality of life. The clients I have worked with have come from a wide range of concerns including anxiety, PTSD, depression, ADHD/ADD, bipolar, personality disordered, adjustment and change, addiction, career issues, disabilities (cognitive, developmental, and physical), autism, LGBTQ+, relationships, family/parent support, and trauma.

My approach to working with my clients is goal oriented, supportive, and interactive. I believe that my client and I are a team and will work with them as a partner in exploring their concerns to develop positive coping skills and abilities to overcome their concerns. While my approach to counseling is catered specifically to each individual client, I often utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, psychoeducation, applied behavior analysis,
and mindfulnesss.

I am very excited to help you explore your needs and look forward to hearing from you.

She's very respectful and helpful for me and helps me feel better mentally, when other options failed. I can talk to her whenever about whatever and I feel like I can share these things without being judged or things being used against me. She's really nice too.

Brianna has been a gentle helping hand in my life when I had (and have) been feeling discouraged and disconnected to myself and my surroundings. She has helped me to understand truths about who I am and about how I view myself. She has been thoughtful and thorough in addressing any problem that I have brought to her. Her transparency about her thought processes has made me feel as though I am a part of the process of getting better rather than a patient who she is "fixing". I plan to continue seeing Brianna until I am confident that I have worked through some issues that still need work, but with Brianna's help, I feel that a future where I can rely on myself for reflection and emotional processing is possible.

Brianna does a great job of listening to me and really finding out what is bothering me. She then responds with great caring and understanding of what I am feeling, yet she challenges me to be better. She has made this process amazingly simple when we have discussed some very complicated issues. She always has great insight or a great question to something that is bothering me and doesn't rely on conventional examples to help me process and understand how to move forward with living a better, healthier life.

Brianna has an amazing ability to weed through all the emotion, memories, feelings and thoughts you have and is able to find true deep issues. After my first three sessions, I felt a weight of 15 years had been lifted off my chest. It is truly incredible the power of figuring out the main struggles we are having and stating them. I didn’t even know why I was feeling some feelings till Brianna put it all together and I was able to step back and agree with astonishment that yes, she had found the needle in my mess of a haystack. Totally recommend her. She is amazing.
