About me

I work with clients to help them tap into their own inner wisdom, to recognize and build upon their strengths, to propel themselves beyond behaviors and feelings about themselves that limit growth and expression, to become their authentic and best selves.

Life experiences (early and current) impact our relationship to ourselves and others. These experiences shape the way we respond to our feelings and desires and how we anticipate others will respond to us. Whether clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, difficulties with trust (trusting self or others), shame or self doubt...I have found that deep connection to and acceptance of one's full range of emotion is key to lasting change. When we treat our feelings as if they are valid and important, confusion becomes clarity, self-criticism is transformed by self-compassion, reactivity yields to soothing self-regulation, isolation is replaced with a sense of belonging and life can be lived to its fullest.

I tailor my approach to meet my client's preferences and needs. I have experience in several emotion-focused and somatic approaches as well as couple's therapy and cognitive therapy. I have training in Dynamic Emotion Focused Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EFT for Couples, Gottman Method, Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I recognize that making difficult changes and pursuing dreams takes courage. I strive to meet my clients in my active focus and risk taking as an advocate for their desires. I seek feedback regularly and continually pursue advanced training so that I may offer quality of care worthy of my clients and their courageous pursuits.
