Britne Daughtdrill

About Me

Greetings and congratulations on taking the first brave step on your journey to healing!

My name is Britne and I am a licensed professional counselor, mental health service provider (LPC-MHSP) in Tennessee with 6 years of experience working as a mental health therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, marital problems, parenting problems, mood disorders, and everyday life stressors. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. Because there is no one perfect approach for every individual, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

This has been my first experience with online/video counseling. Britne has been timely to our appointments and easy to communicate with through video and chat. We get right down to business to make the most of our live sessions. It's working great so far.

Britne has opened my eyes by helping me realize that some of the feelings I have had are valid, and do not make me crazy. The worksheet she gave me on cognitive distortions looked like it was specifically written for me, and helped me to know that I am not alone in some of the thinking patterns I have had throughout my life, that it truly is a recognized disorder. She is very patient and genuinely concerned, you can tell that she takes her time to think about what you say to her before responding. I should have done this a long time ago, and plan on after completing these next 5 sessions, likely continuing with someone in person. Thank you.
