About Me

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to click on my profile, and learn more about who I am as well as my approach to counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Throughout my experience with individuals, families and couples, I have learned the importance of formulating a treatment plan with the client. Therapy must be a space in which you can grow, learn, and challenge yourself. This can only be done if I help to create that space/therapeutic relationship and you are receptive to it. I pride myself on being an innovative therapist; my focus is on addressing the areas of focus that will enhance your overall quality of life. Together, we can establish the best forms of communication, check ins, and practice outside of sessions, to create the best experience for you.

I frequently work with individuals (and couples) who are seeking help in the areas of depressive or anxious disorders, substance abuse, relationship issues, family conflict, trauma and abuse, as well as motivation, self-esteem, and confidence.

My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and attentive. I strongly believe in unconditional positive regard and empathy as two of the most important and motivating parts of counseling. I also believe therapy is a place where clients can safely and securely challenge their unwanted behaviors and thought processes; part of my job is to address said behaviors that may be negatively affecting your daily life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with my clients. We will work together to create healthy coping skills and boundaries to work towards achieving your goals.

I admire your strength and courage to reach out for support. I look forward to working together towards and accomplishing your goals. Please have trust and faith in the process, as it can be difficult, but it will be worth it. Discover the best version of you.

As I stated this morning on the phone to Brittany she was sent to me from a higher power. She was meant to take me on the journey I am going on. I have seen counselors in the past but have never clicked the way I have with her. Her guidance and support have been completely on point. I am learning so much about myself and I know I have a long way to go but I know she will get me there.

Brittany is an amazing counselor. She really understands what I want to work through and has been incredibly supportive. She even was able to see how current and past issues are connected in ways I had not thought about. I feel like I can talk to her about anything and be myself. I highly recommend her and this service.

Brittany has been really helpful and a great listener. She first gave me different ways that I could talk with her and let me choose which way I'd be most comfortable. She helped me take a chaos of my thoughts and work through them and figure them out. I appreciate that she didn't just stick me with goals and projects, but she wants to talk to me about them, and how I feel about them, and she wants me to share my progress with her so it feels like we're a team. She has responded to me quickly, and I get in depressed states and don't respond to her for a few days so she frequently checks up on me during those times and this means a lot knowing someone cares about how I'm doing. I feel like I will actually be able to achieve progress in my life for once.
