About Me

Welcome! I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming. My goal is to provide you with encouragement, support, and validation on your journey toward overall well being. I approach each individual with transparency and openness and work with the client to identify goals and apply strategies to address concerns. Here is a little about me and how I plan to support you:

I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology (2011) and a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2013) both from Auburn University. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience. I have worked with various populations including groups, families, couples, children, teens, and individuals. I have also worked with clients coping with PTSD, depression, grief, adjustment issues, relationship concerns, and much more.
My therapeutic style involves helping the client to arrive at insight thus applying tools that can be used to make positive change in life. My therapeutic approach to counseling is client-centered as I believe that clients are the experts on their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Trauma Focused Therapy depending on the needs of the client. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). My goal is to meet each client where they are in their journey and provide them with validation and encouragement.
I provide a warm and non-judgmental environment, allowing us to better work together and reach therapeutic goals. Everyone deserves to have someone they can trust and can easily talk to; I’m happy to be that person for you. I’m excited to work together to develop rapport and I look forward to supporting you on this journey toward a healthier, happier you!
