About Me

Hi there! I am a licensed mental health counselor in Colorado (LPC) with pending licensure in Massachusetts as well (LMHC). I have worked in the mental health field for 8 years in direct care and research, and in the past 3 years as a clinician. In my most recent role as a community based clinician, I provided individual, family and group therapy in outpatient and home based settings. I have had the opportunity to work with clients representing a range of diverse backgrounds, presenting issues and diagnoses. I specialize in EMDR therapy, an innovative form of therapy used to reprocess traumatic experiences to reduce and often eliminate memories and symptoms in the present to help clients to move past their past. In addition to treating trauma, I am very experienced with treating Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, and Personality Disorders. My graduate degree is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Holistic Studies. Integrative wellness of mind, body and spirit is central to my therapeutic style. As such I use creative and comprehensive approaches to both traditional and alternative interventions in working through issues in self esteem, relationships, vocation, grief, phase of life changes and existential challenges.

I identify as a Rogerian client centered therapist, and as such, I value the therapeutic relationship above all else. My counseling style is authentic, warm and compassionate. I have the ability to see the tremendous potential in each of my clients, and I am so excited to help you to heal and grow so that you can see the tremendous potential in yourself again. My approach combines cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, rational emotive, humanistic, solutions focused, expressive and Gestalt counseling. I will integrate these approaches and based on your needs and preferences, will personalize a treatment plan to meet your needs and maximize positive outcomes.

It takes a truly brave person to embrace the challenge of taking the steps towards making a change. YOU are that person! I am here with you, and commit myself to supporting and empowering you through this process.

Thank you, and I look forward to working with you!

Brittany is very caring and supportive. She can also contradict you when she disagrees but in a positive and constructive way. It is rare for someone to be so positive and supportive. She also replies quickly.

Brittany was like a helping hand outta left field. She was nice and understanding and even worked with my shifting time zones. She's the best at understanding both sides of the story and says the right things. anyone would be lucky to have her help, I know I was. Thank you Brittany!

Brittany has been so supportive and reaffirming. She has helped me cope with family issues, and her questions always guide me towards thinking about things in a new way I hadn't thought of before.

Brittany has been so supportive of me in the many crisis I'm going through. I enjoy that she's able to respond fairly quickly whenever I have something written I want to get off my chest or get feedback on. I enjoy talking with her as well- the last time we talked, however, I had to leave the conversation out of my own terms but would have liked to have had a longer conversation! The couple of times we have talked, she was very open to listening fully and giving perfect advice for me. She provides a comfortable presence to which I feel open to sharing what I need to.

Brittany has been very supportive and understanding. I think our conversations are helping my confidence and decreasing my stress. She is very good at picking up on the causes of my feelings, which I had not realised.
