About Me

I hold a license in marriage and family therapy and provide individual, couples and family counseling. I began my practice helping adolescents and teens overcome issues related to managing stress, coping with symptoms of depression and anxiety, resolving relationship conflicts, processing and understanding histories of trauma and/or abuse, adjustment and transitional difficulties, and setting goals for self-discovery. Over time, my practice has included adults and couples where issues of grief and loss, coping with a physical disability or medical condition, marital discord, financial hardship, and addiction became more common in therapy.

In addition to my training in family therapy, I hold a BS in exercise science and am very passionate about health and wellness promotion. I often prescribe exercise in therapy to individuals that are inactive and sedentary because research has shown that many mental health conditions are stress-related and can be improved with daily physical activity.

I have been in practice for over 5 years and have had the amazing opportunity of helping thousands of people. I incorporate family systems therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy in my treatment approach and have been able to help many individuals, couples and families that I feel honored to be a therapist every day.

Britany is fantastic at helping you see things in a different light and asking questions to explore where your thoughts and feelings come from. She is a great listener but also has some great advice too! She is very knowledgeable and up to date in modern counseling techniques and it is a pleasure speaking with her.
