Brooke Coffey, LPC, LCMHC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in CO and NM with 9 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including mood disorders, phase of life concerns, relationship issues, trauma, and addiction recovery.
My approach to counseling is eclectic. I take the time to build a solid therapeutic relationship by listening intently to what you are going through and where you are on your journey. From there, I will integrate different therapeutic techniques to help you advance toward your goals. I often use Attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness, and EMDR.
I want to acknowledge the strength and courage that it takes to seek help. When working with me, it is very important that I highlight that this is your journey. You know yourself better than anyone else in this world. I work collaboratively with you to create a road map for your journey. With every stop along this road, my goal is to get you noticing your experiences and how they influence your life so that you’re freer to choose what you do next. I want you to feel un-stuck and start to thrive in your life. Having you notice your experience is meant to be practical, a helpful way of you being free to choose what your life is about, not your mind. It’s not about what you do next, it’s about noticing what’s influencing your behavior. We’re developing the process of noticing so that you have the flexibility to choose what you do.
If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
