About me
Hello and welcome! My name is Brynne, and I'm so glad you are here. I am an Oregon Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my masters in social work from Arizona State University in 2005 and my Oregon LCSW in 2008. I spent my post-graduate years working in community mental health and hospice.
I have experience helping clients manage and navigate issues related to stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, loss, grief, coping with life changes, relationships, motivation, and self esteem. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach is holistic, strengths-based, solution focused, and often uses cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques.
In our first session together you can expect to explore as much of your story and relevant history as you feel comfortable sharing. I am here to listen, not to judge, and my hope is you feel safe and comfortable to share.
My approach to therapy is present-minded and solution-focused, working on those things that are within your control, like your thinking and behaviors. While there are many things out of our control, once we become aware of our thoughts and behaviors we have something powerful to examine, evaluate, reframe and work with, and that is exciting as well as challenging. It takes courage to honestly explore these aspects of our life, to take personal inventory, but it is our thoughts and behaviors that shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us, so it is certainly worthy of exploration.
While that may sound a lot, my hope is that it actually encourages you because positive change in your life is absolutely possible and I am here to support and empower you on your healing and wellness journey.
