I don't have a specific question, just looking for advice, on dealing with anxiety

I have been to many therapists, and have been diagnosed with ptsd and anxiety. And have been told that I do stuff that don't consist of any of those too. Even though they are a problem, the biggest one is anxiety

Hi there,

It sounds like you're really struggling at the moment and sounds frustrating not really knowing what's happening for you. I feel that exploration of your anxieties and the ptsd you experience. I feel that understanding what therapy works for you as there are a range of approaches therapist take. For me I'm a integrative therapist which means I take a variety of approaches (CBT, Psychodynamic and person centered approach) this means I take things from all three to tailor you as a unique individual.

Everyone experiences anxiety and PTSD differently and this sounds like you are experiencing this. PTSD can be either physical, mental or emotional symptoms and this varies with everyone. PTSD can be a complicated subject that you may find can cause triggers or emotional responses that are hard to explain or understand.

I'm wondering if you connected with the past therapist you had in the past? Therapeutic relationship is a key part of therapy and feeling safe to share your unique experience of ptsd and anxiety. Coming in to sessions can be an anxiety provoking situation where you feel vulnerable and out of control. Building a safe relationship in sessions is key to aid this.

Anxiety can be a real struggle that can stop a lot in life due to negative thoughts, physical sensations and worry. Again this is different for everyone who experience anxiety. What I want to do is understand what's happening with you and how it affects you as a person. Then make a plan to help aid you in life and manage the symptoms you experience in a non judgmental and authentic manner. Anxiety can be a scary thing to go through alone and support is key when experiencing it.

I really hope you find this helpful to understand that anxiety and PTSD is different for everyone and your feelings are valid. I wish you all the best and hope you consider continuing on you journey to find support with this.

Thank you for your question,

Chloe
