It’s not really question but I just need help and someone to talk to

Just a sad lonely boy who needs someone to talk to and vent to. Been drowning in my thoughts for quite awhile and it feels like I have no one to talk to. I had 2 therapists in my life time but they left because, one transferred and the other one moved. I’m lonely and having these mood swings and a daily basis, I feel alone.

Jojo,

First, I want to thank you for reaching out. Second, I think it would be really important to find another therapist to talk with. I know it can be discouraging when therapists leave/change positions. However, it is important that your therapist is able to give you the tools to be able to cope with these mood swings/feelings of loneliness independently. This way, you are able to continue utilizing these skills after you and your therapist part ways.

This is an important skill in life as well as relationships and friendships sometimes come to a close or a natural end. But that does not mean you will not be able to continue to form lasting and meaningful relationships and connections in the future.

I want you to imagine the last time you felt happiness or joy. Now, think of what you were doing, who you were with, and what was in your surroundings. What about this experience was most enjoyable? Is this something you would be able to do again? Being able to recognize and understand the things that bring you joy are an important way to keep you motivated and moving forward.

Also, think about how your sleep and appetite are. If you are not sleeping or engaging in unhelpful sleep hygiene, this can lower your mood and overall sense of self. Are you keeping your caffeine intake to a reasonable level, shutting the phones and electronics off at least and hour before bed, and sleeping in a dark and quiet environment? Are you eating an adequate amount of food each day to function?

Finally, take a look at your daily self care. Are you showering, brushing your teeth, wearing clean clothing? Are you able to get yourself to school and/or work on a regular basis? If you aren't, what is getting in the way of you being able to complete these tasks? Do you have internal factors/thoughts that are keeping you from being able to feel motivated to do these things? Or possibly external factors that are keeping you away from being able to do these things (such as lack of access or support)?
