How do I get a kickstart to life if I'm already burnt out at a young age?
I wanted to commend you for reaching out for help. First, I want to begin by acknowledging that I validate all that you have expressed. You have taken on the responsibility to ensure that your family is taken care of. However, it seems that it has come at the expense of your own dreams and aspirations, even your financial state.
My first question, I would like for you to think about is how is that serving you. It is okay to have a desire to help others, but there has to be boundaries set to ensure that it is within reason. Additionally, it is okay to say no when you have reached your limit without guilt and without explanation. I think it is also important to educate your family on how to help themselves so that they can become self-sufficient. This all may sound very uncomfortable at first, and that is okay.
However, it is time for you to make yourself a priority. What do you need? What feels right for you? I think you expressed one important point, " I don't even have the money to pay for the help I need?" Your giving to others is now causing a hardship in your life, so where do you draw the line? I suggest that you schedule a meeting with your family or meet with them all individually, particularly the ones that you consistently assist with finances. This conversation needs to be clear and concise and boundaries need to be set. If you have any helpful and constructive advice that might help them with their finances that would be a plus, if not maybe link them to someone that can assist them with financial literacy.
In addition, I want to express that everything that I have suggested might seem scary and will be very intimidating at first. Also, I want to witness the fear you have about the unknown of what might happen if you put your foot down. I definitely suggest that you prepare what you will say to your family, be mindful of your tone, express that you love them, but can no longer afford to assist them financially. Remember when people love you they will support you, even when it is news they didn't expected or didn't want to hear. From this day forward, you have to choose decisions that will strategically serve you. I hope this was helpful!!
