Hi KT.   Thank you for reaching out and seeking help.   Many people struggle with lack of motivation, difficultly focusing, and creating and accomplishing life goals.  You are not alone. It's easy to get stressed out and not know what we want out of life or how to achieve our purpose. Practice self care, positive self talk, and affirmations. Find your confidence by reflecting on the accomplishments you have made and goals you have achieved so far.

Break your list of goals down into smaller, more achievable tasks.  This will help the bigger projects and the ultimate goal feel less overwhelming. To minimize distractions; set a daily goal, focus on one thing at a time, do not multi task, decrease outside distractions, listen to music.  Write down a plan to attain your goals.  Create a vision board.  Celebrate meeting milestones and making progress.  Expect and plan for obstacles.  Keep moving forward.

Find purpose by living each day with intention and be mindful.  By grounding ourselves and being in the present we focus on the here and now.  Thereby decreasing the anxiety and worry from the day before and taking away the stress of what will happen tomorrow.

Discover what you are passionate about by volunteering, giving to others, and spending time in the community.  Make your goals achievable by building a network and support system to help motivate you when things get tough.

Meet with a trained, experienced mental health professional.  A therapist trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) will guide you through goal setting.  You will learn more about yourself by self reflecting, communicating your feelings, and exploring what motivates you.  Working towards a goal can help increase motivation and build self confidence.  Your therapist will help you understand the steps to accomplishing your goals and how to navigate and process negative thoughts and overcome obstacles that get in the way of moving forward and building a life that provides fulfillment, purpose, and makes you happy.

Keep reaching out for help and apply the tools you have to discover and create life purpose for yourself. Wishing you all the best on your path to wellness.
