I'm so so proud of you for reaching out and for looking for ways to better your situation. If you're suffering to such an extent that you took a break from work, I strongly strongly recommend that you find an in person therapist that will help you navigate the challenges of walking and living with depression and anxiety. Both problems are manageable, especially with dual care of a psychologist and a Psychiatrist.

A psychiatrist will be able to map medical options with you, in order to bring relief faster and will be able to help you really push forward with your wellbeing.

A psychologist will help you map out your thoughts, your feelings, and the skills you need in order to really flourish and grow.

Some of the tools they might apply are CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), or mindfulness. Both of those things are highly highly googleable, so I won't waste time describing them here. But I invite you to google both, and even start practicing what you can from home. They are both easy to understand and you could find really good resources online for both of them.

I want you to know that you aren't alone. Thousands upon thousands of people learn to grow and cope and even be happy with their anxiety and with their depression. Noticing it is often the more challenging step, which you've succeeded in doing. Next is treatment, which you're on the way to doing. And eventually there's just life to build as you enjoy it.

It sounds like you have a very very big uncomfortable situation, and I'm sorry you're going through it. But I promise you, it's a problem with a solution. At least on the most part.

I haven't asked you what you already do to manage it, but as far as tricks and tips go - try to see sunlight every day; try to exercise every day for at least 7 minutes; try to eat a fruit or a vegetable every day. These are all healthy habits that help our brain find balance.

I wish you all the growth you desire!
