Are my boyfriend and I going to last or are we gonna break up

I’ve been out of work for a while since last November and he’s been great about it, but lately I feel like he’s pulling away. He has issues with being faithful and he has other issues but I really want to know if we are gonna last.

Kiki,
You would like to know if your relationship will last, and you added that several factors are negatively impacting your relationship. Relationships are often put to the test since they require constant work. Five factors lead to the end of a relationship. Please read my answer and think if some of these factors impact you and your partner.
  • Arguments, misunderstandings, and disagreements are part of the relationship. However, there are many ways to communicate your emotions, some of which are very destructive. These are the forms of expression you must leave aside to feel understood and want your relationship to be strong and resilient.
  • Avoid being critical of each other as it causes hurt and will lead to the destruction of your union. When people argue, they tend to attach to each other's character rather than mention their behavior. Words are weaponized as they are used to damage rather than mend the relationship. There is a considerable difference between complaining and critiquing your partner. Complaining targets the behavior, whereas critiquing has to do with your partner's personality.
  • Contempt is the worst of the four behaviors discussed in this article. When we despise our companion, we poison the relationship, thus causing an intense wound. Contempt, therefore, attacks what is most essential: the respect we owe to others. The second horsemen of the relationship apocalypse are contempt, in which one judges a person or a thing unworthy of esteem, consideration, and attention.
  • Having a defensive attitude will hurt your ability to communicate. Many people experience anger when they feel invalidated by their partner, which leads them to be on the defensive. As a result, the other partner ends ups feeling guilty and ashamed. When your partner tells you that he is having an issue, if you respond by being defensive, it will make him think that you think he is the problem. Being defensive is a reflex that needs to be tamed.
  • Finally, many couples escape each other because they are tired of the conflicts. After arguing regularly, many people will choose not to deal with their lovers because they are exhausted. If you get to the place where you no longer want to speak to one another, it will become difficult to heal the relationship.

I hope that my answer will help you. I wish you the best in your relationship and keep in mind that it takes two to tango, and you have to be both committed to making this work.

I wish you a great evening.
