How to get over a girl
Hi Amrit,
Thanks for reaching out for some assistance! That sounds like it is a challenging situation to be in. It sounds like she set a strict boundary of no relationships, which has to be respected.
Boundaries are essential because, without them, people could walk all over us and we would not get what we want out of our own lives. It sounds like the girl you are in love with was not looking for a relationship, and she was open and honest with you about that. It's still okay for her to flirt with you and other guys unless you set a boundary for no flirting in your relationship. Is it possible that by asking her why she was flirting with multiple people you crossed one of her boundaries? I am not accusing you of doing so but I think it is an important question for you to ask yourself. You stated that she dodged your question, is it possible that you were pushing too hard for an answer that she is not required to give and does not owe you? Again, just a question to explore for yourself. Sometimes understanding why people did certain things can help to bring some closure.
There are many different ways to get over someone or move past a painful situation. The best way is to focus on yourself. That might look like getting a new hobby, or working on improving something about yourself that you want to work on. We all have things about ourselves that we could be working to improve. This can be done by signing up for therapy, journaling, or spending some time alone a few times a week to reflect on what you liked about yourself that week and what you didn't like and then asking yourself what you can do to change the things you didn't like. There is no one right way to move on, we are all different. I know you said that you do not talk anymore but if it is appropriate to do so, one final conversation with her might help you to get some closure.
