Hi there,

Sounds like you are at a very low ebb at the moment and I am sorry to hear that..  Loneliness can be a very distressing experience and quite often when we are lonely, we do feel low. You say that you have no job at the moment and because of this I guess you have a lot of spare time to think about things that are not going the way you would like them to go... when we don't feel things are going well, our mood can spiral down and the more time we have, quite often our mood keeps dipping... you are also not hanging out with friends. It sounds like you have become withdrawn and lack motivation.. You mention you go to the same person even if there is no response ... Please could you let me know what you mean by this? is this someone you have been in a relationship with?    Do you talk to your friends at all and if so have you opened up about your thoughts and feelings ?

It is often said that we need to love ourselves before we can love someone else therefore working on our self-confidence is so important .. by saying you are disappointed in yourself and disrespecting yourself it is clear that you know that this needs to be addressed. Each time you go back and each time he doesn't respond will make you feel even less confident but very often even though we know that what we are doing isn't respecting ourselves we continue to repeat the same pattern... we often think that maybe the next time we approach the person things may change ... only to be disappointed as you say.. and then comes the feelings of shame or embarrassment...

It requires a lot of emotional strength and confidence to step away and this doesn't happen overnight ... we have to work on our self-esteem and it also can be useful to explore whether we continue to repeat the same patterns again and again in relationships and if so again we need to explore .. for what reason do we do this?
