While making money is important, it is also important to find a career that makes you happy and something that you will love doing. Most of the top-paying careers will require a four-year college degree or an advanced degree beyond those four years. So, it is important to understand the commitment you will have to that career choice and making sure it is a good fit long term. Below is a list of the top ten highest-paid careers.
The top-paying career is a surgeon. Depending on what specific area you are working in you can make anywhere between 200,000 to 360,000 per year.
The number two career is as a psychiatrist. The average salary is around 195,000 per year.
Number three is a physician specialist. These are physicians trained to work in general care. They make an average of 124,000, to 173,000 depending on which medical area you work in.
Number four is a career in oral medicine. Which includes dentists, orthodontists, and prosthodontists. You can see an average salary of 125,000 to 168,000 in this career.
Number five is a nurse anesthetist. A nurse that works in this field does exactly what an anesthesiologist does, but they have to work under a medical doctor. They start with an average salary of 140,000 a year.
