About Me

I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience in the field. I obtained my masters from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. My professional experience includes adjunct professor, telehealth counseling, foster care social worker, director of a therapeutic milieu, psycho-educational group facilitator, counselor, in home and private practice therapist, social work field instructor, crisis avoidance management and trainer. My preferred treatment approaches with clients are cognitive behavioral therapy, strength based, family systems, youth development, motivational interviewing, client-centered and dialectic behavioral therapy.

Through the therapeutic relationship my hope is to assist individuals and families explore barriers that impact their ability to resolve relationship issues, accomplish goals, tap into their inner strength and push past fears. Whether you’re seeking guidance through a new opportunity, increasing self-esteem, feeling helpless, struggling to assimilate in a new environment or find yourself constantly angry, I look forward to embarking on this journey of self-discovery and change with you.

As a Caribbean American and woman of color, I believe it is vital to incorporate one’s cultural values in sessions. The impact race, culture and socioeconomic background has on how individuals view themselves are recognized and explored in my work. I aim to work with anyone open to the process, possess a willingness to look through another lens in an effort to move beyond their accepted norm and towards discovering the life intended for you to live.
