I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor who specializes in millennial issues specifically related to depression, anxiety, and self esteem. I believe in taking a practical and sustainable approach to mental health and wellness. Confidence is something that I work on with every person I treat. While I work with adults of all ages, I specialize in treating millennial issues such as failure to launch, relationship issues, moving through past traumas, feeling stuck/uncertain, and planning for the future. In addition, I treat issues related to hopelessness, low confidence, and low motivation. I'll work with you to help your understand yourself as a whole, instead of focusing only on your symptoms.
When working with me, you'll have time to process but will also learn life long skills. This means that I take a traditional "talk it out" stance, but also take time to teach. My goal is to help you feel better in the quickest way possible so that you and I can work on more long standing and difficult issues that may be showing up in your day to day life. For example, many people who experience feeling overwhelmed have at some point in their life developed a core belief that sounds something like "I'm only as good as my work" or "I can never do enough". In my work with people I have found that small sometimes seemingly unimportant changes can create immediate relief.
My main goal in becoming a therapist is to make mental health services practical and accessible. I use straight forward and solution focused techniques when working with clients. During my sessions I teach skills you can implement in your everyday life to promote wellness. My top priority is your wellness, at your pace, with your strengths. Together we can empower you to overcome obstacles and take charge of your wellness.
