About me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York with a master’s degree from Columbia University. I support clients in identifying their strengths and increasing their confidence and self-worth. Clients are empowered through learning tools and strategies to successfully overcome current and future challenges that life brings.

I have worked with a wide variety of populations from children to adults, experiencing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, family and relationship issues, low self-esteem, trauma, and career challenges.

I emphasize building a strong, trusting relationship with my clients in a non-judgmental atmosphere. This relationship is essential to understand the specific challenges and goals of each individual. I utilize a collaborative approach to therapy, trusting that each client is an expert on themselves.

I utilize various therapeutic modalities to fit the individual needs of each client, specifically CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques. I also use aspects of positive psychology to emphasize each clients’ strengths and motivating factors to help achieve their goals. Working as a team, I support each client in developing a realistic and sustainable treatment plan to support them through various life transitions and individual mental health struggles. I also utilize my experience as an intensive in-home family therapist and couple’s counselor to support clients in working through relationship and family issues by identifying and overcoming their maladaptive patterns of interactions.
