My name is Dr. Caleb Reese, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the United States.
I have been involved in the behavioral health field for 10+ years in a variety of positions. I believe obstacles can be the path to success, and I wish to provide assistance to those individuals who are suffering. Being able to ask for help is a sign of courage. I want to help you build on those inner strengths. I do not ask my clients to do anything I would not, and I recognize my own fallibilities because I am human. Through collaborative work and a willingness to push toward change, my goal is to help people recognize what they have control over in order to make the most of their valuable time.
I utilize a straight-forward approach because I believe genuineness nurtures growth. We cannot choose what happens to us yet we can learn how to respond more effectively.
I am originally from the Chicagoland area and attended undergraduate obtaining a bachelors in Psychology and minor in Psychology of Crime & Justice. Upon graduation, I moved to Southern California where I worked full-time with individuals suffering from mental illnesses, substance use concerns, and legal issues. I began a masters program in psychology as I began assisting families affected by gang violence, homelessness, and systemic racism. I studied in Oregon at an APA-accredited program where I received training in psychological evaluations, evidence-based practices, and a variety of training opportunities with lawn enforcement agencies. After completing my APA-accredited predoctoral internship in Washington DC, I graduated with my PsyD in 2015. I received postdoctoral training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in intensive outpatient group therapy and inpatient hospital forensic settings, respectively. I have worked in the community mental health field providing individual and group therapy, conducting psychological evaluations, teaching mindfulness skills, and providing training on Motivational Interviewing (MI). I utilize evidence-based treatments and objective measures to ensure the highest quality of care for my clients while being empathic, collaborative, and validating.
I look forward to working with you!

Dr. Reese is simply the best therapist I’ve ever had.
Hes great. He listens to everything I say and remembers everything and is always there for me when I need him
Caleb is fantastic. He is an amazing clinician who listens beyond the words I say and hears what I struggle to convey as a seemingly fumble through my words. He is familiar with a multiple approaches and adapts to what I need in the moment as well as involving me in the treatment process. 14/10 would highly recommend.
I’ve only been working with Dr. Reese for two weeks now but I’ve been through a handful of therapists and I can confidently say that he’s the one I’m sticking with. He makes you feel comfortable and is straightforward with you when you need it most. He offers so many tools to help you but doesn’t expect you to do it all yourself. He’s there every step of the way. Thank you Dr. Reese!!
Dr Reese has helped me identify tools and strategies that work for me. I am thrilled at how well (and quickly) I have been able to apply my 'new learnings' in my personal life and work life. Therapy with Dr Reese has truly been a life changing experience for me. I am glad I heard about Betterhelp and proud I had the courage to reach out. The resources I have access to via Dr Reese and Betterhelp are the best investment in personal development I have ever made. Wish I had this wisdom three decades ago, lol. But ... better late than never.
Caleb is awesome! Always present, encouraging, and knows what he’s talking about. I like that he catches me if I’m too judgmental or not thinking straight. He holds me accountable to show up for myself which I like, too.
Best counselor ever. Very understanding and considerate
Dr. Reese helped me a lot with my anxiety and self-esteem. He gave me the tools that I needed in order to practice overcoming these issues. I felt comfortable discussing tough subjects with him and he made me feel heard and cared for. He is such a wonderful person with a cheerful and positive attitude. I really enjoyed every one of my sessions with him and I feel like a more confident and happier person in the short amount of time that we've been speaking. I would definitely recommend him for anyone who is struggling with self-esteem issues or anxiety.
Thank you Dr. Reese, you are the best!
I just love his humanity and spontaneous virtues finding ways to help me
Very positive person, great listener , helped me develop plans and steps to help me manage my stress. I have to cancel my subscription for financial purposes.
Dr reese is the best
He manages to walk a thin line where he approaches my touchy subjects as a friend but still provides me objective detached useful advice.
At first i wasnt sure what i would get
Out of this except an expensive place to vent but Dr Reese has shown me the beginning of the path of self mastery. He is not my guide but he is an incredibly helpful voice to have on this journey
I have enjoyed our conversations it has helped me a great deal to be able to deal with some of the things that I need help with I greatly appreciate all your support
Dr. Reese is awesome. I always leave our sessions feeling lighter, more energized, and with useful tools to handle situations in my life. His expertise, empathy, and human-ness makes him really easy to connect with. I look forward to our continued sessions!
Dr. Reese is an expert at what he does. Shows a lot of compassion and honesty to his clients. He has helped me in ways that made differences in my life whether small or large.
If you are interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I definitely recommend speaking to Dr. Reese (Caleb). I have received therapy for almost three months now. I was very hesitant to seek therapy again, but I'm glad that I did. It is clear that Dr. Reese is truly invested in what he does. He doesn't make assumptions or jump to conclusions about what I share with him. He's been extremely supportive throughout many difficult moments. It also doesn't hurt that he's a cool guy with a sense of humor.
Dr. Reese is astoundingly compassionate and always has a toolkit of resources and strategies to share, tailored to your expressed needs. He’s so responsive via the app and he genuinely cares. He’s one of the best therapists I’ve ever had.
Dr. Reese is just the counselor I needed. He’s very encouraging and empathetic, and I never feel judged. I always feel like I can say exactly what’s going on and he gets it. He has given me a lot of ideas and tools I can use, and I really feel like my mental health is improving and I’m getting better in a lot of areas. He’s a great listener, and he is flexible and provides different strategies if something doesn’t work for me. I am very grateful for his help!
Dr. Reese is understanding, prepared, accepting, thoughtful all while setting boundaries and expectations high enough to be attainable. Dr Reese admits things he’s not an expert in allowing for more things to be accomplished on things he is knowledgeable about. The references provided and materials used are helpful and provide a road map for understanding what we discussed in sessions.
Dr. Reese has been quite encouraging and helpful thus far and I am looking forward to the growth to come in working with him.
