I am a licensed clinical social worker in South Carolina with over 15 years of experience working as a counselor and clinical therapist. I have worked with adult clients with a broad spectrum of needs including depression, anxiety, grief & bereavement, and adjustment to life changes. In 2013 I began working toward my PhD and am currently writing my dissertation which focuses on the sustained effects of mindfulness treatments.
My counseling style is warm and engaging. I believe all people should be treated with respect regardless or race, religion, sexual orientation, or current circumstances. While I like to blend modalities, my approach is patient centered and tailored to each individual based on current needs. My approach combines humanistic, cognitive behavioral and solution focused counseling.
My personal/professional experience and background has been with psychiatric & oncology patients and their families. I have worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including general medical hospitals, community mental health centers, and psychiatric hospitals. I thoroughly enjoy them all.
It takes a great deal of courage to reach out for help and to make changes. I am here to support and guide you toward the change you would like to see.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Candace Sprouse. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Candace is an amazing therapist my sessions with her have given me the confidence to accept and access anxiety. She has given me tools & solutions to utilize when I feel anxious that have changed my life tremendously. My therapy sessions have been like a breath of fresh air I’m learning to breathe it all in.
