Canise Lewis, LCSW
About me
I am a forensic clinical social worker licensed in the state of California for over 10 years. I have worked with individuals, groups and families who have been victims to crimes and worked with perpetrators of crimes as mandated by court order. I utilize the Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques and Modalities. I have worked with clients who experience depression, anxiety, anger, posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms, dysfunctional relationships, career selections and choices, domestic violence and substance abuse.
My approach is warm, nurturing, accepting, client centeredness, and yet energetic, motivational, challenging and direct. In addition, my approach combines the use of humanistic, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and Rogerian psychotherapy. I am aware that seeking treatment can bring about internal resistance and naturalistic fear and trepidation, but I would like to encourage you to take the next step in your life to treat yourself well before despair wins the battle.
If you are ready to take the next step in healing your pain, lifting the clouds of impending doom, controlling emotionally charged behaviors, modulating fears and anxieties; then I am ready to be there for you and guide you through the fears, challenges, demands, place upon you as a result of your journey in life.
Connect me; you've got my support and time.
