Hello,
My name is Cara and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that is licensed in both Maine and Utah. I am looking forward to cultivating a strong relationship with each and every client so that I can best assist you in reaching your therapeutic goals. I graduated from The University of New Hampshire with a bachelors in social work as well as The University of Southern Maine with a masters in social work. Since graduating with my masters in social work I worked for the same company for 5 years and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. During these years I worked with adults, families and teenagers. I have helped my clients work through depression/anxiety, mental illness, loss, trauma, addiction, family conflicts, life transitions, identity struggles and so much more.
As a treatment approach the most important thing is for me to build a strong relationship with my clients so that there is trust and a strong foundation to build on. I strongly believe in the humanistic theory that is client centered to help clients to work on fulfilling their individual goals. I enjoy working with my clients using mindfulness strategies and techniques. My goal is to provide guidance and support as you navigate the challenges of life and become your best self.
