Caren Gayle, LMSW, LCSW
About me
I am a clinical supervisory social worker with nearly 10 years of experience whose focus is on clients who are experiencing symptoms related to Anger Management , Trauma, (including PTSD related to combat and/or assault), as well as Grief and Loss counseling. I have experience working with both Veterans and non Veterans in clinical and residential settings.
I am an Army veteran, initially working with military families as a liaison between family members and their loved ones during deployment separation, as well as after combat related injuries. I then transitioned into working in residential treatment centers with troubled youth assisting them with an array of diagnosis ranging from depression and anxiety to severe conduct disorder psychosis and substance abuse. We worked diligently with families to reunite and heal. I then began working at the VA where I have been able to work with Veterans with PTSD, anxiety, sleep disorders, Grief and Loss, and other needs which they have. I believe in educating clients in an effort to better assist them in playing an active role in their care. I believe in being straight forward and direct with my clients, non-judgmental and most of all ensuring they know that treatment is about them.
