About Me

Greetings! Thank you for your interest in therapy and for your time to look at my profile. I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 7 years of providing psychotherapy. I have gained invaluable experience throughout my professional development serving individuals 18 years and older.

Sometimes we have trouble figuring things out and the answers are not always clear. It can be tough to pursue your goals when faced with anxiety, crisis, depression, frustration and unexpected challenges. Sometimes it can be difficult to manage your revolving responsibilities while balancing your personal obligations. Life can be busy and it can be challenging to find time for ourselves. Well you've come to the right place to figure out your next steps for your personal journey.

I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing focused on improving your overall well being. I help identify how your behavior is shaped by your attitudes, thoughts and beliefs. I also recognize the importance of mindfulness and the benefits of practicing self-care to offset challenges that lead to stress.

I truly enjoy the opportunity to support others improve their quality of life. I learned how much I loved connecting with people and changing lives through a combination of community grassroots and non-profit experience. I found a career where I spend time helping others for a living.

I had never seen a male counselor before so I was skeptical, but Carl listens to me and how I am feeling more than my other counselors in the past.

I suffered a severe breakdown in my long term relationship and even developed debilitating short term ROCD. Coupled with my pre-existing depression and anxiety, it seemed my relationship was doomed. But Carl was there as often as I needed him and helped me along the way by providing useful tools and exercises. He listens and understands and really tries to help you make sense of your emotions. After about 4 months with Carl, my relationship is better than ever and I feel like I’m in a great place. Not saying it wasn’t hard. You do have to meet halfway and be willing to do the work. It doesn’t work otherwise!

I have been on this app for a month and Carl is very patient and understanding. He validates and responds with really helpful information, which is so important for an excellent therapist to have. I love this app so much and Carl is great!

Thank you Carl! It's so nice to be heard and to be understood when I've felt the opposite for so long! I appreciate you so much.

Carl has thus far been responsive, understanding, supportive, and proactive in discussing issues that I have indicated I wanted to work on. I went through two other counselors before finding Carl, and am happy with him so far!
