About me

A truly fantastic therapist can be life changing. Learning to be honest with ourselves while sharing intimate details of our lives can be overwhelming for some, especially those who are in vulnerable positions. I truly believe that what is mentionable, is manageable. I provide a safe space where all can feel validated, appreciated and heard while developing a unique treatment plan tailored to the client's most pressing and specific needs. I mainly work from a solution oriented approach, where one can explore openly, without bias, the most inner and special aspects of themselves.
I have treated clients suffering from a multitude of mental health obstacles including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, bipolar disorder, addiction, personality disorders, anger management, and overall life changes. I utilize techniques and exercises that bring insight and understanding, while analyzing values, patterns and coping strategies to promote balance.
On a personal note, I have worked in adult out-patient clinic settings as well as an adult day-program for those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and substance dependence. I continue striving to build my private practice full time, as psychotherapy is my passion.

I met with Carly several times between April and June. She was a wonderful confidante and really helped me to learn to boost my self-esteem in a very short time. I highly recommend Carly!

Carly is very approachable and has given me some great insights to help deal with my stress and anxiety. She is a patient listener, and has been able to point out behaviors and patterns that I had not noticed in myself.
