I’m a systems therapist, which means I see people and the issues they bring to therapy in relation to the family, work, social and relational systems they are involved in. Yes, that does mean talking about your parents and how the messages you received in your family have shaped you. It also means talking about the ways our bodily systems, culture, race, sexuality, work environments and general community affect the ways we feel and behave. We are complex, relational beings, and understanding both our internal and external systems (what is going on inside and outside us), helps us grow, change, feel and act differently. I am trained in EMDR, CRM and attachment based modalities, all of which I use to help the people I work with find what they are looking for.
I take on a mind, body and spirit approach and pull from your strengths to help you grow in the ways you want to grow. I have 15 years of experience working in the field of mental health ranging from inpatient hospital settings, to university counseling services to private practice. What I have seen as most effective in creating long-lasting change is helping clients build a strong, safe, secure attachment relationship to themselves. Building secure attachments with ourselves enables us to enjoy relating to ourselves, others and the world around us.
I have experience working with a broad range of issues including anxiety, self esteem, gender and sexuality exploration, depression, grief, trauma and eating disorders. I have a lot of experience working with the LGBTQIA+ population, kink, open relationships and polyamorous relationships. I am body positive, sex positive and social-justice minded. In my free time, I like to be outdoors with my pup, throw pottery and make conceptual art. I find that creating allows me to bring a creative flow into therapy sessions.

Carly is so easy to talk to, puts me at ease and understands me. I was originally skeptical to therapy but she listens and allows me to talk as well as providing helpful resources, sharing knowledge and giving great advice.
Carly has an incredible way of listening and letting me know she is doing her best to help me. She asks me a lot of challenging questions so I can get to know myself better. I love being able to talk my concerns through with her about boundary setting, how to be the best version of myself, and many other valuable things.
