During the past 21 years I have learned that the client is the best source of his or her personal story and knowledge of him/herself and their family. Our experiences in all spheres of life affect us whether they are positive or negative. It is that story which forms the basis of a counselor's knowledge of and interaction with the client. My approach to counseling is client centered and empathic. I attempt to put myself into the shoes of the client but know that it is never truly possible to experience their reality entirely. I can never be them but I can be someone who tries to understand what it is like to be my client. That is why I need them to tell me their story as openly as possible. Knowing that issues which require counseling usually carry the stigma not seen with medical problems, receiving and treating a client without making assumptions is something I view as essential to the relationship.
Since becoming a Licensed Social Worker I have been licensed and continue to hold clinical level licensure in the states of South and North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania. I am also a certified addictions counselor in South Carolina. I specialize in trauma and related issues, veteran's issues, and family/relationship issues. I am certified by SUNY University of Buffalo in trauma treatment. My practice utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy exists in many forms and I am trained in many. Among those I utilize regularly are EMDR, Mindfulness/Dialectical Behavioral Health, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and Short Term Solution focused therapy. I interweave psychodynamic approaches with cognitive behavioral methods utilizing best practices psychodynamic materials. As my client you will be my guide who teaches me the information needed to help you heal.
I look forward to meeting new and existing clients at each session. Your focus is my concern and we base our plans and goals on your needs as shared with me. I look forward to meeting those who feel my skills are a good fit.

Dr Fletcher is great patient and understanding and really listens to you and gives ways on how to cope and act for the future
Carol is a great listener and is incredibly wise. One thing that stuck out with Carol is that she's willing to listen and understand experiences that are not like her own. In my case, she helped with my journey into polyamory, helped me unpack my relationship breakup, and in-general was very sex positive. l I very much enjoy our sessions together.
Dr Fletcher is a great asset to the Better Health platform. She listens, reflects and offers ways to self evaluate. The format is excellent and meets the client where they are. No more scheduling extra hours of travel time. The worksheets and journals are very helpful and all in one place with you all the time. No more loosing a paper.
Dr. Fletcher has been great to work with. It has been a relief to have someone as caring and inciteful to talk to while some much in my life changes. She really listens and always gives me something constructive to think about or do to help with stress and changes.
Carol is awesome. She is empathetic and loving and really knows her stuff. I've been in therapy throughout my lifetime and I find Carol to be at the top. She always has good book recommendations and sends articles and worksheets in relation to what I need. I would highly recommend Carol. You are lucky if you get matched up with her.
This woman was absolutely the worst therapist. She is extremely unprofessional, doesn’t listen, and would rather talk about herself instead. She does not genuinely care. Avoid her! Therapist red flags everywhere!!!
Best therapist I’ve ever had.
Dr. Fletcher has been the worst experience with a therapist I have ever had and left me very upset.
Dr. Fletcher listens really well and always gave me things to focus on or try that I felt were great ways to focus on my mental health, like reading a passage, or applicable book. I was able to connect with her well and I would recommend her!
Dr. Fletcher truly listens, and cares for your well being. This is my first experience using a counselor, and I now see the benefits. Thanks Dr. Fletcher for listening, and providing focused questions for me to gain insight.
She’s wise and she tells me what I need to hear.
My therapy has been life changing with Carol. She has worked me through a seriously hard transition time in my life. I have been healing my anxiety, codependency, and past traumas. I have made so much progress, and I truly look forward to our chats each week. Extremely grateful!
I can’t say enough about how impressed I am with Dr Fletcher. I was someone who had lost a lot of hope in therapy and even less hope in finding one that would easily understand the difficulties I have that bring me to therapy. I feel really lucky to get to have this chance again and I’m really really hopeful that this could help me heal once and for all. :-)
I've just started working with Dr. Fletcher but I already notice a difference in my perspective. She's such a warm, beautiful, kind person. I love talking with her during our sessions. Dr. Fletcher is a wonderful listener and has the right tools to help her clients.
Dr Fletcher was wonderful, caring, resourceful and attentive. I would recommend her to anyone.
Love her, great counselor!!!
Dr. Fletcher is very knowledgeable and understanding and has a comfortable ease with which she deals with issue.
Dr. Fletcher is very kind and I feel like she listens without judgment to whatever I may be going through.
She makes me feel like there’s nothing wrong with me and that there’s just a few things to work on. And she makes the changes seem very doable.
Dr. Fletcher has helped me a lot in the little time we have spent together and I would definitely recommend her and this app to a friend.
Dr. Fletcher is a breath of fresh air. She’s intellectual, very experienced and offers fantastic advice and guidance. I’m grateful to have been paired with her.
Dr. Fletcher is amazing. I have a hard time opening up to new people but her empathy and calmness relaxes me during our sessions. She offers different perspectives for problems that I thought could never be solved. She’s amazing!!
Dr Fletcher is an amazing therapist. I wasnt able to continue for financial reasons. But she was great!
