About me

I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social worker with over 25 years of experience working as both a Clinical (LSCSW) and Medical Social Worker. I started out training as a Medical Social Worker and then focused on mental health and practiced as a psychotherapist. I eventually combined the two skill sets and began sharing many of life's most difficult journeys with those in need of support. I have worked and had success with a socioeconomically, culturally, spiritually, emotionally and life-style diverse client base with a wide range of issues including, but not limited to, depression, adjustment difficulty, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, addiction, co-dependency, loneliness/isolation, grief/loss, aging, geriatric issues, caregiver burn out, coping with a terminal illness, end of life, and many other challenges.

My counseling style is genuine, interactive, warm, gentle, compassionate, intuitive, nonjudgemental and honest. I view our connection as an equal, respectful partnership therefore I work beside you and we work together to find solutions. When you decide to work with me, you will find that I am very curious and spend time getting to know you to better understand the concerns that brings you here. I draw from predominately Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused and Mindfulness therapy approaches to help you navigate and resolve your challenges.

Congratulations on your first step! Our work together is my privilege.
