About Me

Hi there! Welcome to a new kind of counseling experience. I am very interested in being your online therapist through any multitude of issues you would like to improve. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado, as well as a National Certified Counselor and Distance Certified Counselor, through the National Board of Certified Counselors. I have been working in the counseling field since 2004 in various roles and positions. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectial Behavioral Therapy, but work with a humanistic psychodynamic approach. I work with clients in a very needs oriented way. The most experience I have is with trauma and psychiatric illnesses. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, day treatment, outpatient mental health centers, home based therapy, as a military life counselor, addiction and recovery centers, and most recently private practice in another country. I have done incredible work with culturally diverse clients due to working outside of the US. My foundation is in strengths based work and resiliency, believing that as we all go through experiences we will learn, grow and change no matter how great or small. Please find that I will look forward to meeting new people and counseling you through the newest form of change, the online platform!

Carrie is an awesome counselor! I started working with her a few months ago but he's been particularly great to have during quarantine! She's helped me fight the anxious demons in my mind and stay happy and productive. When we video chat, I can really tell she is sincere and serious about helping me with whatever is going on. 11/10 would recommend Carrie and BetterHelp overall for therapy!

I'm so grateful for the amazing guidance, wisdom, knowledge and compassion Carrie expresses in our exchanges. She really gets me. And her experience with people with my kind of issues helps me feel heard and understood...and validated. She has, in fact, helped me more in those two sessions than a lot of sessions with most therapists. And I started therapy in the mid-1970's! I'm really grateful for this site and especially for having Carrie as my therapist.

Carrie is an amazing help to my personal wellbeing. She is very supportive in all aspects. Carrie always has suggestions, but never tells me what to do, she helps me figure out the best way for me. I have no issues at all trying to contact her. She is very responsive to me at any time day or night, which is amazing because it's not only during the day when I need a little extra guidance or support. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for that extra support in life. I absolutely love her and the work we have done on my life together so far.

Carrie, is sensitive to my needs, brings up different tasks to assist me in problem solving and goal setting. She is an excellent listener and I appreciate her calm but focused approach in our counseling sessions.

I just started working with Carrie a few weeks ago. I was a little skeptical about online therapy but it actually seems to be working out really well. Carrie has been super helpful and really seems to care and want to help me through my issues. She is quick to respond she takes the time to work with me and get to know me. She is non-judgemental and has some really great suggestions and helps me to see things from a different perspective. I look forward to continuing my therapy with her.
