About me

I love to take a journey to empowerment with those who I am honored enough to work with. It is a wonderful and exhilarating experience to witness an individual grow and learn, and to see them come into their own with my assistance and guidance.

I fully believe that we do not realize our own strength and capabilities, but with the help of those who can hold us in our times of weakness, and vulnerability, we can be molded into powerful creatures. I specialize in working with folks who have chronic and persistent mental health experiences - bipolar disorder, chronic depression, anxiety, OCD, and trauma stemming from childhood or those who have experienced trauma even as adults.

I attended a private University outside of Philadelphia, PA to obtain my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work, and I focused a lot of my studies on family work and cultural diversity, and much of my career has been focused as well on family work and working with diverse communities. My approach is eclectic, and I tailor it specifically to the individual because no one will fit the exact mold that we want them to - everyone is unique.

We need to be willing to be flexible, and as Social Workers and clinicians, we need to be willing to alter and tailor our methods to fit our clients so that it suits them and works for them, and that is one of my key strengths - I always tune into what works for my clients. I have worked with a variety of age groups and many different therapeutic setting as well- I've worked with adults, the elderly population, in group setting, in individual setting, intensive outpatient therapy, as well as in a crisis setting.

Carrie has made me feel very welcome and appreciated. So far our communication has been through text, but even with text Carrie has made me feel understood. I am glad I was matched with Carrie, and look forward an ongoing counselling relationship.
