Carrie Smith, LCSW
About me
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have over 19 years of experience working as a counselor. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from the University of California Berkeley and with my graduate degree from the University of Southern California. I currently work as a psychotherapist and specialize in using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help people build a life worth living. I am solution focused because I believe it is most important to focus on things we can control so we can move forward in life. I work with people struggling with anxiety, mood issues, anger, relationship chaos, problems with attention, trauma survivors and grief.
My style of therapy is through connection and compassion. I believe we all have the capacity to heal and with this we can regain some control of our lives. I will meet you where you are in your life and I pride myself on being non judgmental and accepting of all people. Congratulate yourself for taking the first steps towards being happier and healthier!
