Caryn Gill, LPC
About me
Hello! My name is Caryn. I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania as well as a board-certified music therapist.
My experience is primarily at higher levels of care, such as inpatient and partial hospital programs, and this has prepared me to work with people with diverse needs.
I incorporate an eclectic blend of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I have additional training in Exposure and Response Prevention to treat OCD and anxiety disorders. I love incorporating mindfulness into my work as well. My training as a creative arts therapist enables me to use a variety of methods beyond traditional talk therapy to address your mental wellness needs, and I believe that this provides me with an added ability to work holistically with each individual. I value meeting each client where they are and using their strengths and values to guide treatment. In addition, I have training and experience working in a trauma-informed manner.
My philosophy is that I, as a therapist, is mainly your guide and coach- the real valuable work lies within you and your efforts! I look forward to being able to help you make strides along your journey.
