About Me

Sometimes everybody needs someone in their corner whose main focus is to support them through what goes on in life. It can be hard to ask for help but we all need it from time to time. I use a client based approach that is also truthful and strength based. Life is hard enough without feeling lonely and overwhelmed. You are not alone and don't have to navigate life's obstacles alone either. Sometimes we need a different viewpoint to overcome obstacles. I am open minded and tend to focus on building skills, confidence, and a providing a new perspective.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Colorado. I have been working primarily with teenagers and their families in acute and residential settings for the better part of 5 years. I do my best to fit interventions to the needs of my clients. What works for one may not work for everyone and while therapy is a serious business, oftentimes the process can be enhanced by humor and I use it as I get to know my clients. I want to build a person, couple's, or family's strength in order for them to be able to handle life as a team without extended support from other resources. When I am needed again, I will be there for you!I have received training in trauma, specifically EMDR, biofeedback, and how traumatic experiences can mold us into how we see the world and make decisions . In addition, I use tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, solution focused therapy, structural family therapy, and other areas in order to best support my clients.

I tend to view obstacles, stress, situations, and experiences from a systemic perspective which means I look at all of the moving parts and pieces. I find once we can understand the motivations or purposes of all of the parts of it, we can explore how to meet needs in healthier or more effective ways. Everyone and everything is connected and by understanding our relationships, we can have more forgiveness, awareness, and progress.

I look forward to working with you, your partner, or your family and getting you to where you want to be!

Cassandra is the first therapist that I feel like I really connected with. The things she says really resonate with me and I can tell she really listens and tries to get to the core of what I think and feel. Her reliability and response times provide some stability in my otherwise chaotic life. She’s easy to open up to and her feedback is always positive and real and relevant.
