About me
Thank you for taking the first step toward a better future. I know it is not always an easy first step to take, and I applaud you for doing so. You are worthy of finding, creating, and living the life you want. With your individual goals being paramount to our sessions, our time together will be spent helping you discover yourself and explore meaning within your life and the relationships surrounding you. Through understanding core belief systems, therapy sessions will be focused on challenging and overcoming your negative thoughts and behaviors that contribute to your feelings of unhappiness, discontentment, and turmoil in your life.
I received a Masters of Social Work degree from Barry University in West Palm Beach, Florida. I went on to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have close to 15 years of experience working with individuals with mental health needs. I spent the first part of my career working to repair broken family systems in the child welfare field, specifically parent-child conflict, abuse, and trauma I later went on to open my own practice in a small beach town in Florida specializing in treating adults with a vast array of mental health needs. I also work with a local homeless shelter to treat women and children in need of crisis counseling, to help them find solace in their otherwise unstable and chaotic life. I currently specialize in treating adults with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I utilize evidence based practices which are proven to show successful outcomes with those I serve.
Sometimes life presents us with challenging situations that we are not prepared for. I am here to be your support during life's difficult times and cheer you on during life's victories. It is my goal to create a "you-centered" experience and never subject you to overly generalized mental health services. I believe every person is unique and beautiful in their own way, and my personalized treatment strategies are a reflection of that. If you are looking for a warm and welcoming counselor, reach out today for the non-judgmental support you need!
