About Me

Hello! I'm Catherine, and I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Mount Holyoke College, and my Master's Degree in Social Work from New York University. I have over 13 years of direct clinical experience and have worked in various settings, including a locked residential program for adolescent girls, group homes for adults with major mental illness, and outreach for clients living independently in the community. I'm looking forward to providing services remotely, through BetterHelp.

My background is in Psychiatric Rehabilitation, which means I'll help you build skills and access resources to help you work through your current circumstances. It's important to note that you'll take the lead in our work - I'm here for support and guidance, but you're in the driver's seat. You decide what we work on, and how we do it. I can give you concrete tools to help you start working towards specific goals today. At the same time, if you'd rather just talk, I can do that too. Clients have said that they appreciate my willingness to help, my abilities in providing help, and doing so with a healthy sense of humor.

Catherine is awesome! This is my first time seeking counseling so I was hesitant at first, but Catherine has made this such a positive experience. She has listened to me and supported me through a very difficult time in my life. She provided me with great advice and resources in order for me to process/heal. I truly believe that Catherine cares for each of her clients. She is completely present during sessions and willing to check-in even when I don’t reach out to her.

Catherine is a very kind, compassionate listener. She is very flexible and I would recommend her to anyone struggling with anxiety/depression as her calm demeanor makes her very relatable.

Catherine is amazing! She really makes you feel heard, she's relatable and the way she speaks to you isn't condescending or dismissive. She also gives great feedback, advice and suggestions on how I can improve my life, apart from already being a great listener!
