Catherine Groves, LMHC
About me
I have 15 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor in Indiana and over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families on various issues including anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, adjustment, trauma, substance use, interpersonal relationships, and life stressors. I have also helped clients to address self-harm behaviors and grief and loss.
My therapy style is collaborative and person centered. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and person centered therapy. I believe that all individuals must be treated with respect and empathy. I commit to providing individuals with a safe space to discuss sensitive and difficult problems and to be non-judgmental.
Therapy can be hard and uncomfortable but a very rewarding experience and one you will learn from and value forever. It takes patience and courage to seek help. I commit to support and empower you to make the changes you are planning to make. I look forward to working with you!
