About Me

Welcome and congratulations to you for taking the first step in your healing journey. I am a native Texan and a graduate of the University of North Texas where I received a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. Soon after, I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling with Honors from Dallas Theological Seminary. Over the past ten years I've had the pleasure of working in a variety of different settings such as inpatient hospitals, non-profit organizations, summer camps, churches and private mental health practice. I am passionate about providing holistic therapeutic services in order to help individuals reach optimal functioning in every area of their life. In session, I utilize techniques based on the Adlerian theory for individual psychology which focuses on the individual as a whole and how he or she responds to their environment. I have experience working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, family conflict, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, self-harming behaviors and aggression.
I believe that therapy is useful in providing a safe place for individuals to process the difficulties of life in a safe space with an unbiased party. Therapy is not a cure all and will take time and hard work to see desired progress. But I believe in the power of the therapeutic process and its ability to inspire change. With that said, I look forward to starting this journey with you!
