Cathy Pope, LMFT
About me
I am a RN and LMFT working for over 20 years as a family coach and therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including: depression, anxiety, relational changes and challenges, life transitions, parenting- including having a child with special needs, trauma-both physical and emotional, and stress responses and recovery. I have also assisted people undergoing grief and loss.
My counseling approach is warm and empathetic. I work collaboratively so that you get your individual needs and concerns addressed. I believe each person deserves to be treated with respect and compassion. I use psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, neuro-relational-including stress responses and recovery, trauma informed, and emotional strength focused to assist you in meeting your goals. I will tailor our sessions to meet your individual goals.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of California San Francisco. Later I obtained my Master's Degree from Fresno Pacific University Biblical Seminary while working and navigating family life. I understand the stress of multiple relationships and priorities.
Your courage in taking the next step to receive additional support is noteworthy. I look forward to being the person to assist you during these next steps.
I look forward to working with you!
