Chelsea VonderHaar

About Me

Hello, my name is Chelsea VonderHaar and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping people achieve healing and growth. I work with individuals seeking therapy for a variety of reasons including depression, anxiety, recent life transitions, loss, spiritual issues, family or origin issues, attachment issues, self esteem and relationship problems.

My desire it to create a safe place that provides feelings of trust and compassion. I find it a great privilege and honor to walk with people while they navigate making sense of whatever challenges they may be walking through. I work with client's to identify how their life has been impacted by their experiences and how we can work together to facilitate healing and growth.

Theoretically, I work from a Family Systems framework and utilize both Experiential and Cognitive Behavioral models in order for clients to achieve growth and healing in both their intra and interpersonal lives. These models and methods will be used to understand and alter patterns of thought and actions in order to facilitate change, healing, and growth. I see my role as one that both encourages and lovingly challenges clients towards growth and healing.

*I prefer video sessions, as I find them most helpful for clients*

Chelsea is very kind and attentive! I only had the opportunity to work with her for a few short weeks, but in just that brief time she provided me with helpful tips and tons of support and understanding during a very difficult life transition. Those who match with her are very fortunate!
