Cherrice Smith
About me
Hello, my name is Cherrice Smith and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I have over 10 years in the behavioral health field including providing individual, group, family and couples counseling to individuals of all ages. In my practice, I have worked with individuals with a variety of presenting issues including depression, low self esteem, anxiety, life changes and relationship problems.
My therapeutic philosophy is that you have to "speak positive things into existence." In other words what we tell ourselves, become our words, our words become our actions, our actions become our behavior and our behavior becomes our reality. My therapeutic approach is to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you break the patterns of dysfunction and negativity by helping you learn to reframe your thoughts and your language to yield a better and more positive future.
