Cheryl Boettger, LPC
About me
We are living in extraordinary times that can be overwhelming. We all can use a few more tools and skills to help keep our families and ourselves healthy on every level. I can help you find better ways to communicate, cope with stress, deal with trauma, and thrive.
I finished my Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University in 2011. I am currently writing my dissertation for my PhD in Health Psychology and hope to finish in the next year. After graduating with my MS I taught for universities and community colleges for 8 years. I became a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in 2019 and focused on at risk youth and families before branching into trauma and depression. I am certified in Brainspotting, CAMs, and Motivational Interviewing.
I believe that every individual needs individualized therapy so working with me may include a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, problem-solving therapy, family/couples therapy, psycho-education, and other modalities based on your needs .
