About Me

My overall goal in therapy is to help clients to develop tools whereby they can overcome problems or relationships which may be getting in their way. I do believe we are all here to find ways to live our lives to the fullest and therapy can help almost everyone make the changes which lead to increased happiness and fulfillment. I work with a wide range of issues including relationships, family problems, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma or career issues.

Theoretically speaking, I am eclectic, drawing on different approaches according to the needs of a particular client. Everyone is unique and everyone has their own receptivity to different approaches. My job is to be flexible and receptive, to find a way into the work that fits best with my client. Modalities which I use with clients include: relational approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, solution focused therapy.

Like most therapists, I have faced challenges in my own life which have enriched my work. I have also experienced complex family relationships and am able to understand a wide range of difficulties from both a personal and professional point of view.

As a therapist, it is very satisfying to make human connections and help clients to tackle problems and make their lives better and more fufilling. Some of my clients are short term. Others I have known for long periods of time. I do believe therapy is the most important work we can do, no matter what difficulties we face.
